As good stretch technique is an important part of any fitness regime, Bridport Leisure Centre have created a dedicated Stretch Studio.

The full wall mirror provides a clear view of your form and technique during workouts, and equipment includes: Technogym benches, hexagon dumbbells, resistance bands, weighted knuckles, medicine balls and training mats, plus stretch wall charts to give guidance and inspiration.

 

 

Stretching is vital for keeping your muscles long and loose.

Ideally, you should stretch after some light exercise so that you’re stretching warmed muscles, which helps prevent injuries.

Regular flexibility training has numerous benefits, these include: increased joint mobility, better posture, decreased back pain, reduced stress levels and another advantage can be a lower risk of injury.
